Professionally I am a Librarian Since from 31-7-2008 at Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysore. It’s newly established an engineering college still building construction progressive well. After my MLISc suffered a lot to get a job finally I got the job at MIT. First day start the work with book accessioning, at that time there is no Library building at least chair and table. Initially wrote the accession register on ground. From 1-8-07 to 14-1-08 Library is established with 6000 collections, 9 racks (5 self’s, 6*9 feet), 45 chairs, 8 reading tables and 2 tables, 1 Almera and 1 computer for staff. Still bar coding, classification and cataloguing is remaining.
Library Classification
Initially documents are classified as their respective branches of computer science, Information science, etc.. Further classify the documents according to DDC (Dewey decimal classification), class numbers are downloaded form LOC online database. We make this variation for user convenient, some of the books from different branches deals with the same subject for example a book of mechanical subject have the subordinate number of electronics in DDC.

Title: Basic and applied thermodynamics Class No.: 621.402
2] Electronics
Title: Engineering electromagnetics Class No.: 621.3
Main class number of both mechanical and electronics are same, if arranged the documents respective their class numbers both branch students easily can’t retrieve the documents cause of this we comes for this decision.
