Hiten Turakhia, one of the founders of this library, says he and five other friends were inspired by their college days struggle to get books. Everybody would chip in Rs100 to get reading material for their courses. Sitting at a coffee shop lat year decided to make it easier for today’s generation. Thus librarywala.com was born.

The library six founder members have expertise in related fields like IT, marketing and management. Their market-savvy has clearly paid off, in over two months since its launch.

The website, which is currently operational only in Mumbai with 8,000 titles, hopes to extend its operations to Bangalore and Pune by next year.

As professionals we should think that behind of their inspiration because they are not LIS professionals still they are providing a kind of information service without knowing of fundamental knowledge of regarding fields. As we know we can do such things to improve the library services in an innovative way.
